Ringcatchers

I have made a few new ringcatchers. . . inspired by some new wool and what I hope is the impending Spring (though, a high of 30 today and threats of snow.  blurg.).  I plan to make a few more this weekend and then to slowly get them posted up on Etsy and Poppytalk.

My favorite view of these fluffy wonders is always the bottom side and while they can hold things, I'm wondering if they might not also be lovely wall hangings?

I'm also cranking out buddies, too--a new little bunny and a very new project I've never done before.  Soon as he's done, I will post a new picture.  In the meantime, here's the new bunny:

Another Ringcatcher Day

The ringcatchers I make are certainly useful--at holding things and keeping things tidy (wish I could design one that would keep my big desk neat!)--but for me they're just a chance to play with color.  Sometimes I think I'm a colorist. . . that's where my real interest lies.

pin cushions

I wanna make pin cushions.

These are some of the bases--crocheted and then felted. Just like the cups I use to make my ringcatchers, but deeper. The tops are going to be a tiny mound covered in embroidered material.

But A. I haven't quite figured out how to attach them in a pretty unobtrusive way that doesn't look chintsy and B. I can't seem to light a fire under myself to do the embroidery.

I'm a craft procrastinator. . . but maybe posting the picture here will inspire me to get a move on.
